KIDS AND THE COMMUTE
I worked with Kelly Taylor, the brilliant mum behind the Instagram account @kids_and_the_commute to develop a new brand identity and brand toolkit to encapsulate her fun personality along with the direction of her new career path as a mum influencer. 
Kelly recently took the big step to become a mum influencer full time after a long career in the media industry and a number of years working as an influencer on the side and made the decision to create a more formal brand. We worked together to create a strong identity that resonated with her personality without being too child focussed. While also looking to the future of her career, which will hopefully involve Kelly talking about flexible working opportunities for all.
The star is a symbol that's already a big part of Kelly's life so using it as a focal point for the identity was a winner from the start. Combined with the short letter 'I' and tilted 'O', 'S' and 'E' the brand started to emerge with it's own fun personality. Using a stylish font and including a unique K character added an certain elegance and enabled me to produce a stylish and current logo with an element of fun. I love the way the creative K flows through into a more personal logo using Kelly's name and the K* is a beautifully simple sign off. Designed with the strong colour combination of black and pink I think this brand will stand out and gain lots of attention on social media for Kelly.
Being a mum of 2 young boys navigating the difficult juggle of work and parenting, this project was very close to my heart and I loved every minute of it. Both Kelly and I are delighted with the result and I look forward to seeing how the wider brand evolves.
